Franco C. Cintora, 74, of Rabun Gap, Ga. passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2020 at his home.

Born in Guanajuato, Mexico on July 26, 1945, he was the son of Guadalupe Cintora and Nicolasa Carmona. He was a carpenter and of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by a son, Socorro Cintora.

He is survived by his companion, Dessie Jane Gibson of Rabun Gap, Ga.; two sons, Tommy Welborn (Theresa) of Clayton, Ga. and Franco Cintora (Stonny) of Clayton, Ga.; two daughters, Ancella Chism (Robbie McCutcheon) of Mountain City, Ga., Nicolasa (Tony Watson) of Rabun Gap, Ga.; a brother, Trinidad Cintora; a sister, Isidra Gomez of Mexico. Twelve grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.

The body was at Hunter Funeral Home, where the family received friends on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home, with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial will follow at Pickett Cemetery.

The family is at the home on Asa Cove Road.
