She was born, Gloria D. Starry, in Piedmont, Oklahoma on February 25, 1928. She went to be with Jesus On Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. She was 92 Years old. She married her childhood sweetheart, Lawrence Ballard, and they were together almost 72 years (He went to be with Jesus in March 2016).
They lived through the “Great Depression” and experienced many hard times during their lifetime. Daddy was a Master Plumber and a Building Contractor. Together they designed and built their dream vision, “Tiger Creek Falls Inn,” just 4.5 miles south of Clayton.
She was a Godly woman, who raised her children “The Old Fashioned Way” using The Bible, as her instruction book. We always ate dinner together, as a family and we were brought up in a home filled with laughter and love. She tried her best to be a good example and always taught us to be the best that we could be.
She had two brothers, William Starry and Johnny Starry. Both proceeded her in death.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who leaves behind a remarkable legacy.
She and her husband had six children: Larry Ballard Jr., Terry Ballard, Lanna Whittle, Michael Ballard (Deceased) Bruce Ballard, and Dee Dee Rouse.
Together they had 12 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, with one on the way. This includes two sets of twins, and a set of identical triplets
She was an amazing woman, who will truly be missed, by all who knew her.
