Irma Cuprill Ferendino passed away of natural causes on September 3, 2019 at her home on Lancelot Loop in Kingwood, Clayton, Ga.  Ms. Irma just celebrated her 100th birthday on Aug. 6.

Irma outlived all five of her siblings, as well as husbands Charles Castle and Andrew Ferendino.  She also mourned the loss of her grandson Matthew and youngest daughter Martha Jessie in the last seven years.

Irma and Andy first came to Rabun County in 1980 as summer residents, later to become a permanent resident. Irma was active in the Clayton Women’s Club and served as secretary for several years.

She is survived by daughter and long-time caregiver Alba Castle of Clayton; eldest daughter Annabel Baia Majewski of Miami, Florida; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

After cremation by Beck Funeral Home, a mass for the repose of her soul was celebrated at St. Helena Catholic Church in Clayton on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019.  The ashes will be interred in Miami.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Pruitt Health Hospice in Gainesville and Paws4Life in Clayton.
