Jacob Emory Butler, age 39, of Lakemont, passed away on April 16, 2022. Jacob was born to Timothy Scott Butler and the late Cynthia Wood Butler on Oct. 26, 1982.

In his professional life, he worked in the music industry as recording engineer for Calvary Chapel, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He also worked for Sam Ashe Music Center, where he sold high end music recording equipment. He was diagnosed with a glioma brain tumor in 2011, which he had battled. He enjoyed snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. He was always very close with his brother, and together they operated a production studio, ClearSky Productions. He was a compliant child, with a strong Christian faith, he was married but with no children. He will be remembered for his sweet spirit.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Wood Butler. He leaves behind his father, Timothy Butler, of Lakemont; his fiancée, Amy; his brother, Joshua Butler, of Florida.

A graveside service was held on April 27, 2022 at Rabun Memory Park in Tiger. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Freedom Ministries Lighthouse, Inc. 7247 Old 441 South Lakemont, Ga. 30552.
