Jerry Lee Kilby, 75, of Rabun Gap, Ga. passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton, Ga., surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 13, 1945 in Rabun County he was the son of Levosher Kilby and Greta Frady Kilby. He was the owner of Jerry Kilby Construction and a member at The Flatts of Middle Creek Missionary Baptist Church for 52 years and was also a member of the Mountain Home Builders Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levosher and Greta Frady Kilby. He is survived by his wife, Merle Brown Kilby of the home, by three sons, Rev. Kenny Kilby (Sheila) of Dillard, Ga., Mack Kilby (Tammy) Rabun Gap, Ga. and Brian Kilby (Pam) of Clayton, Ga. and by four brothers, Wayne Kilby of Waynesville, N.C., Eddie Kilby (Elaine) of Dahlonega, Ga., Mike Kilby (Becky) of Tifton, Ga. and Donnie Kilby (Donna) of Clayton, Ga. Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

The body was taken to The Flatts of Middle Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Scaly Mountain, N.C., for a graveside service on Sunday January 10, 2021 with Rev. Robert Nix officiating. 

The family is at the home on Ponderosa Road in Rabun Gap. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to The Flatts of Middle Creek Missionary Baptist Church in care of Rhonda Williams P.O. Box 220 Scaly Mountain, N.C. 28775.
