Funeral services for Kyle Justyn Lane Dotson, 17, of Lakemont, were held at Clayton Church of God with Johnny York and Ted Petaccio officiating the service.

Mr. Dotson passed away Sept. 14, 2021

Born Aug. 10, 2004, the son of Kyle Dotson and Bobbie Jo Whitted.

He was an amazing young man with a huge heart. He always worried about others. He wanted others to smile and be happy. He would do whatever it took to put a smile on your face. Whether it meant getting you food, or him acting like a goofball or him just hugging you with his big long arms and holding you tight. Justyn was the kind of kid who would give you the shirt off his back even if had nothing to put back on. He had a sweet spirit and a smile that would bring light to any one he was around.

He loved fishing, swimming, camping, bonfires, squatted vehicles, cat eye Chevrolets and first Gen Cummings. He loved to lay black marks in any car he was in. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

His survivors include his parents, Kyle Dotson of Habersham Bobbie Jo and Bobby Whitted of Mountain City; his stepparents, Bj and Brian Panther of Lakemont, and Heather Passmore of Habersham; his grandparents, Crayton and Maria Lang of Habersham, Dee Pankey of Habersham, and Joey Dotson of Clayton, and Edith Owens and the late Bill Owens of Clayton; his brothers, Tristen Dotson, Zaine Dotson, Austin Dotson, Cole Dotson and Tuff Dotson; his sisters,  Cadence Dotson and Emily Whitted; his aunts and uncles, Brandon and Robin Dotson, Miranda Roberts, Amy Lang, Adrian Brooksher, Rhonda and Jeff Robinson, Bonnie and James Dills and Michael Whitaker; and numerous cousins.
