Larry Gene Jones, 71, of Mountain City, Ga., passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020 at his home.
Born May 1, 1949, in Rabun County, Ga., he was the son of the late Joe Jones and Ruth Lee Lovell. He was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded, in addition to his parents, by brothers, Guarry and Reid Jones and Calvin Sutton, as well as sisters, Louise Carter and Nancy Woodall.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Jones of Mountain City, Ga.; by two sons, Kenneth D. McClain of Mountain City, Ga, Brandon and Ashley McClain of Washington State; a daughter, Lisa and Michael Cross of Wiley, Ga. and by a brother, Tommy and (Carolyn) Sutton of Clayton, Ga. Two grandchildren, Kirsten and Hailey Cross also survive.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
