Marjorie Sanders Preston, 95, of Lakemont, Ga., passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at NE. Georgia Medical Center.
Born March 4, 1925 in Pinellas, Fl., she was the daughter of the late Brewer Sanders and Elizabeth Milton Sanders. She spent most of her life in Rabun County as a housewife and a member of the Clayton Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, Brewer and Elizabeth Sanders, by her husband, Joseph Preston, a son, David Preston, two brothers, Herschel Sanders and Brewer Sanders and two sisters, Jean Ricketts and Anita Costello.
She is survived by one son, Mickey and Rita Preston of Carebell, Fl. and two daughters, Annette Preston (Tom Beaty) of Lakemont, Ga. and Bonnie Preston of Clayton, Ga.. Seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family is at their respective residences.
