Mark Lee Pruitt, 57, of Mountain City, Ga. passed away on March 8, 2021 at his home.

Born in Macon County, N.C. on July 22, 1963 to Jack and Lynda Allen Pruitt, he was a graduate of Rabun County High School and North Georgia Technical School. 

He spent his career as a machinist, and he was a member of Mountain City United Church where he was a member of the praise team for several years.

He loved dirt track racing, playing music, finding new pawn shops and gun stores with his brother, working with his guns and knives, fishing, and hunting, but above all he loved his family and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jack Pruitt, and a son, Jason Kilby.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Pruitt of the home; his mother, Lynda Pruitt, of Mountain City; daughter Maegan (Josh) Holt of Tiger; daughter Cindy (Brad) Turpin of Tiger; and brother Matt (Amy) Pruitt of Tiger.  He is also survived by five grandchildren Brady Turpin, Will Turpin, SarahBeth Holt, Rhyne Holt, and EmmaLee Holt, as well as a niece, Ashlynn Blackwell.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home and visitation will be held on March 11, 2021 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel at Hunter Funeral Home. 

A funeral service will be held immediately following at the with Dr. Karen Frank and Reverend Chuck Stutsman officiating. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic masks and social distancing regulations will be in place.)

Burial will be immediately following in the McCurry Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Mountain City United Methodist Church (PO Box 305, Mtn. City, GA 30562) or to the Rabun County High School Fishing Team (230 Wildcat Hill Drive, Tiger, Ga. 30576).

The family is at the home on Rogers Cove Lane in Mountain City.
