Mary Paula Cutright Thomas, age 77, of Clayton, passed away April 27, 2022. She was born May 14, 1944, the daughter of the late Paul Parker Cutright and Winnifred Dougherty Cutright.

In the 1960s, Paula was employed by the Atlantic City and Shore Memorial Hospitals. She went on to become the Human Resources Director of Resorts International eventually relocating to Florida in 1986 where she became payroll director at St. Marks Village and Human Resource Director for S&S Electric. Paula loved teaching, arts and crafts, gardening and was devoted to her dogs and cats. Mrs. Thomas was the director of Religious Education for 15 years at St. Helena Catholic Church in Clayton. She was very active in charities and St. Helena Catholic Church. She received an A.A. degree from University of South Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Parker Cutright and Winnifred Dougherty Cutright. She is survived by her loving husband Charles Richard Thomas Jr. She had two daughters Kristina Reilly and Maureen Montreal and one son Drew Monreale. Paula had six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family is having a Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Father Luis Alvarez officiating.  At a later date an inurnment service will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery 6502 SW 102 Ave. Bushnell, Fla.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mary’s memory to Padre Pio Foundation, 463 Main St. Cromwell, CT 06416; St. Cecilia Congregation Advancement Office, 801 Dominican Drive Nashville, TN 37228; or to F.A.I.T.H., 94 N. Main Street, Clayton, GA  30525.
