Meghan Laura Bohannon, 25, of Clayton, passed away Sept. 25, 2021.

Born Jan. 15, 1996, she was the daughter of Valorie Thomas King of Clayton, and Wade Bohannon, of Rockdale County.

In her professional career she worked first for Rabun Manor, Cracker Barrel and Rumor Hazit before becoming employed as a personal banker for Wells Fargo Bank.

Meghan was a 2014 graduate of Rabun County High School before continuing her education at Brenau University to earn her Bachelor's Degree in business management. She was involved with the drama program through her high school career and was an honor graduate. She loved to read and also to cross stitch. She was involved in both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She was a devoted and loving mother, and a hard worker, who liked to pretend she was a NASCAR driver.

Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Charles A. Thomas Sr.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Grayson Charles Andrew Boyce, of Clayton; two brothers, Thomas King and Sean King of Clayton; her grandmother, Gladys Broome Thomas of Hull; and countless aunts, uncles and crazy cousins.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home in Clayton from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, and Sat. Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. until noon at Clayton Baptist Church in Clayton.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct.2, at noon at Clayton Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Thompson and the Rev. Chuck Stutsman officiating. Burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Washington following the service.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Meghan's memory to the Boy Scouts of America.
