Norma Owens Wilborn ,75, of the Satolah Community in Rabun County, Ga., passed to her heavenly home on Wednesday July 14, 2021, following a brief illness.

Norma was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in the Satolah community. She worked at the Sangamo/Schlumberger/Itron plant of West Union, South Carolina for 25 years.

She loved photography, bluegrass music, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joy was her five grandsons, Mitchell, Matthew, Connor, Ryan, and Doyle.

Norma was preceded in death by her mother; Louise Nix Owens, Father; Doyle H. Owens, Brothers; Alan Owens, and Sephen Owens two granddaughters; Angel and Kolbi.

Surviving are her daughter’s; Rachel Wilborn Greene (Joey), Dawn Erin Wilborn, Brother; Wayne Owens (Tomiko), Brother; Derrill Eugene Owens (Freda), Five Grandsons; Connor Greene, Doyle Greene, Mitchell Padgett, Matthew Padgett, and Ryan Padgett. Also surviving are two nieces and one nephew.

She loved her family, taking photographs, going to bluegrass festivals, loved music, and was always willing to help a friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation and funeral services were held at Macedonia Baptist Church Monday, July 19, 2021, conducted by Rev. Zane Talley and Rev. Oliver Rice.
