Pamela Joi “PJ” Mason Carpenter, 54, of Mountain City, Ga., passed away at home, early Monday, September 23, 2019, following a diagnosis of cancer two months earlier.
Born in the U.S. Naval Hospital in Charleston, S.C., on June 16, 1965, she was the daughter of Leroy Mason (Mary) and Paralee Willis Brooks.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers: Lance Mason, Michael Mason, and John Allen; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Scaly Mountain Church of God, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019. Pastor Donald Bates will officiate. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the fellowship hall. A private burial will be at a later date in the Scaly Mountain Church of God Cemetery on Hale Ridge Road, Scaly Mountain.
