Rev. Harold Wesley Houck, 91, passed away on Feb. 10, 2020 at his granddaughter’s home.

He was born on July 21, 1928 in Rabun County, Ga. to John and Maude Wilbanks Houck. He was a United States Army veteran and was retired from General Motors as a group leader. He was a member of the VFW American Legion, as well as a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois Houck, a son, Gary Houck, a sister, Louise Gravley and two brothers, James Houck and Jeff Houck.

He is survived by five daughters, Marie Watts of Clayton, Ga., Sandy Walker (Carl) of Lake Orion, Mich., Tammy Sparks (Tim) of Jefferson, Ga., Susan West (Steve) of Clayton, Ga. and Judy Lovell (Tim) of Wiley, Ga.; two sons, Dale Houck of Clayton, Ga. and Norman Houck of Clayton, Ga.; two sisters, Ruth Shirley of Clayton, Ga. and Edna Warren of Snellville, Ga.; two brothers, Hubert Houck (Lucy) of Clayton, Ga. and Roy Houck of Clayton, Ga. Seventeen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Raymond Page and Rev. Kenny Griffin presiding.
