Stanley “Jap” Littrell, born and Raised in Rabun County, Ga., went to fly fish and hunt in the great big blue sky on Friday, February, 5, 2021.  He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.

Jap was born to George and Bertha Littrell of Tate City, Ga. on Flag Day in 1957.  Jap was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, camping and drinking beer.  Above all, he loved his family.

His son, Joshua Littrell, and daughter, Jessica “Nikki” Littrell Oates, were his life, but his world revolved around his grandkids.  Kristina, Kaelyn and Kendall Oates were Jap’s whole world.  Jap was loved by everyone, and never met a stranger.  He never got on a plane (because he wouldn’t), but he got to experience the world through his son and daughters travels and stories.  Jap was blessed with another son and another daughter through marriage.  Justin Oates, and Linda Littrell joined the Littrell family and were welcomed with open arms and a great big ole Jap hug.  Jap loved Justin and Linda just as much he did his own kids.  Family and friends meant everything to Jap.  He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it and was always there for those who needed him.

Jap is survived by his mother Bertha; his brothers: Tony Littrell, Randy Littrell, Bobby Littrell, Jerry Littrell and Raymond “Bo” Littrell; and his sisters Shirley Littrell Schaut (Ken Schaut), Debbie Watkins (Troy Watkins) and Virginia “Jenny” Stewart (Shane Stewart); his children Joshua, Linda, Nikki, and Justin; grandchildren Kristina, Kaelyn, Kendall Oates; countless nieces, nephews and cousins.  Jap will be remembered for a big smile and a great time.

A private family service will be held.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Georgia Natural Resources Foundation gnrf.ga.dnr.org or Veterans for Collaboration Foundation https://vfc.foundation/.
