Thomas Jerry Emory, age 69, of Rabun Gap, Ga., passed away on December 13, 2020.

Thomas was born to the late Thomas Perry Emory and the late Della Giles Emory on October 30, 1951. In his professional life he worked at Black Rock Mountain State Park, which he always enjoyed. He rode his bicycle to the top of Black Rock Mountain often. Thomas enjoyed exercising, riding motorcycles, and riding in dune buggies. He always loved being outside and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hiram Emory and James Emory, and one sister, Sal Emory.

His survivors include his loving wife, Peggy Emory, of Rabun County, Georgia; his son, Andy Emory, of Franklin, North Carolina; one brother, William Emory; two sisters, Leila Brantley, Lula Turpin; three grandchildren, Abigail Emory, Asa Emory, Aiden Emory.

A private family service was held at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday December 17, 2020 with burial following in the Taylor’s Chapel Cemetery. The family asks that anyone in attendance please socially distance and wear a mask.
