Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death and funeral services for Thomas Lowell Tucker, age 61, of Blairsville, Georgia, who passed away on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022, at home.

Tom was born in Rockledge, Florida on May 14, 1960, a son of Kelvin Tucker and the late Anne Tucker. He attended North Marion High School in Sparr, Florida; Truett McConnell College; and went to seminary at Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, Florida, and had pastored several Baptist churches in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Tom had served as Director of Business Development at Community Newspapers, Inc., since 1995, until present. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. He enjoyed saltwater fishing, traveling, and history ..... but most of all, he enjoyed his grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his wife, Lesley Shupe Tucker, of Blairsville; children: Emily and Josh Mulkey, of Young Harris, Georgia; and Johnathan Tucker, of Lawley, Florida; grandchildren: Claire and Gus Mulkey, and Serenity and John Tucker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Vonda Tucker, of Santa Fe, Tennessee, and Robert and Betsy Tucker, of Woodbine, Georgia; father, Kelvin Tucker, also of Woodbine; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., to be held at First Baptist Church of Blairsville, with Pastor Derrick Hartley officiating.  The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Alan NeSmith, Joe Dyer, Wayne Knuckles, Steve Cockerham, Sam Cockerham, Ron Tucker, Jeff Kaufman and Greg Adams.

Visitation was held on Friday evening, Feb. 11, 2022, at Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, between the hours of 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
