Rabun boys tennis edged out of state title

ROME – The Rabun County boys tennis team’s history-making season came to an end with a loss in the state championship match as the Wildcats fell to No. 1-seeded Brantley County, 3-1, on May 13 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.

RCHS boys tennis defeats Model to advance to state title match

TIGER – The Rabun County boys tennis team is headed to the state championship for the first time in program history, following its 3-1 semifinal win over Model on May 8. The No. 6 seeded Wildcats was scheduled to take on No. 1 seed Brantley County on Wednesday, May 13, at 12:30 p.m.

RCHS Boys tennis defeats Model to advance to state title match

TIGER – The Rabun County High School boys tennis team defeated Swainsboro 4-0 on May 4 in the Elite Eight of the Class A Division I state playoffs. The victory for the Wildcats clinched the first-ever Final Four appearance in program history, where they will take on No.

Lady Cats tennis falls to No. 1 Jeff Davis in Sweet 16

The Rabun County girls tennis team fell at No. 1-seeded Jeff Davis on April 27 in the Sweet 16 of the state playoffs, 3-0, ending its season. The Sweet 16 appearance for the Lady Cats was their seventh consecutive year making the second round of the state playoffs.

Lady Cat tennis rolls past Dodge County

TIGER – For the seventh consecutive year, the Rabun County girls tennis team is headed to the GHSA Sweet 16, following the Lady Cats’ 3-0 victory in the first round of the state playoffs over No. 17 Dodge County on April 21.

Wildcat tennis falls in region title match; girls claim 3rd in region

NDER – The Rabun County boys tennis team fell in the region championship on Wednesday, April 15, to Athens Academy 3-1 in Winder, Ga., at Victory Lord Park. The loss for the Wildcats marks their second consecutive runner-up finish in the region and moves them to 15-2 on the season.

RCHS tennis takes ‘Senior Night’ wins over Commerce

TIGER – The Rabun County boys and girls tennis team both earned wins over region foe Commerce on “Senior Night” in the Wildcats’ final matches of the regular season, 5-0 and 4-1, respectively, on April 2.

Wildcat tennis teams off to hot start in new season The Rabun County boys and girls tennis teams are off to a firing start in the 2026 campaign, following an Elite Eight appearance a season ago for both squads. That Elite Eight run for the Wildcat boys was its first in program history.
