Sandra Kay Ivester, 61, of Blairsville, Ga. passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born August 17, 1959 in Rabun County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Frank Scroggs, Sr. and Ruth Hopkins.
She worked as a line worker for Fieldale Farms and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a mother to anyone she met and was known for her constant laughter and horseplay.
She loved going to the beach, it was her favorite place. She touched many lives and was loved by many people. The people that knew and loved her would say she was the nicest lady you would ever meet.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruth Scroggs and by a brother, Michael Scroggs. She is survived by her son, Juan Alvarez of Blairsville, Ga. and by four sisters: Melba Drexter of Rabun Gap, Ga., Stella McCrackin of Anderson, S.C., Cheryl Shirley of Turnerville, Ga. and Jackie Key of Toccoa, Ga.
The body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
