Submitted photo. The Lake Burton Civic Association maintains an active water quality and bacteria monitoring program to track and identify pollution on their reservoir. E. coli bacteria are tested for in May through December. Also tested for are dissolved oxygen; PH levels; and temperature. Samples are collected from boats as well.
