“Ignite Faith,” a Christian fellowship program within the 501c3 nonprofit Mountain Learning Enrichment, Inc., is housed at the Mountain City Playhouse, Mountain Learning Enrichment (MLE) as it focuses on bringing life enriching activities to all in a safe, family-centered environment.

Returning for its fourth event since its inception, “Ignite Faith” will hold another fun worship and fellowship event this Sunday, May 4, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

“May The Faith Be With You” will be an “out of this world” evening of praise and worship music, games and activities, FREE FOOD, open gym time at the BRAT Center, and an exciting time of sharing the talents and testimonies that God has blessed us.

“Ignite Faith” held its first fellowship event in August 2024 directly after the Rabun County Prayer Convoy. Youth from Rabun and surrounding areas gathered together at the Mountain City Playhouse and Blue Ridge Activity & Tumbling Center and enjoyed an afternoon of singing, dancing, games, food, and fun.

The successful event gave like-minded Christian youth a chance to join together in a safe environment to have fun and worship. In February, MLE’s “Ignite Faith” program held a wonderful talent show that gave youth of all ages, from near and far, a chance to come together and share their talents and compete for some amazing prizes.

Top prize was four concert tickets to Christian artist Jamie Grace. That title was taken by an amazing young clogger, Gainesville, Ga.’s Katelyn Powell, whose mother, Stephanie Cash Powell is a Rabun County native.

Many other youth and adults showed off the wonderful talents God has blessed them with, including local young adult Heidi Gardner.

Gardner, who attends Tiger Global Methodist in Rabun County, has attended every “Ignite Faith” event to date. An amazing and talented dancer, Gardner has graced the stage of the Mountain City Playhouse with her awesome dance talent.

“Ignite Faith is a wonderful program,” exclaimed Gardner. “I have wanted and prayed for a space where young adults, and others alike, can create and enjoy each other’s God-given gifts.”

Gardner has done just that by sharing her gift of dance during each event and will also be attending the upcoming Star Wars-themed May 4 event. She invites others to attend and share in the fellowship, especially if they are inclined to participate in performing arts, stating, “If this [event] sounds interesting, don’t wait to join. Fun is just on the horizon!”

So join the fun this Sunday, May 4, from 4-8 p.m., as “Ignite Faith” hosts their fourth fellowship event for Rabun County and surrounding areas.

This event is free of charge and is open to youth of all ages who are interested in not only performing arts such as music, singing, dancing, and theater, but also in having a fun and active time of praise and worship.
