According to head coach Wesley Satterfield, the softball team has been practicing on the turf for around four weeks now. The field includes new dugouts as well as two bullpens. The softball field is a part of a larger project that includes installing turf on the football and baseball field, as well as a new track around the football field.
The Rabun County High School athletic fields have been receiving a $4.6 million makeover throughout the summer, with turf fields being installed on the softball, football and baseball fields.
