Enoch Autry/The Clayton Tribune. A disputed facemask penalty against Rabun County gave the Purple Hurricane a first down in the first round of the state football playoffs in Fitzgerald. With the penalty yardage, Fitzgerald would score a touchdown on the drive. The Purple Hurricane then would also get a fumble recovery and put another TD on the scoreboard. That series of events pushed the Purple Hurricane to the 42-21 win over Rabun.
