The Twin Rivers Challenge premier cycling event hosted by Tallulah Falls School returns for the 10th annual ride on Saturday, Oct. 26.
This destination ride showcases the beauty of Northeast Georgia during the peak leaf season. TFS extends a warm invitation to cyclists across the Southeast to experience the Twin Rivers Challenge. Three routes – 25 miles, 46 miles and 70 miles – offer a challenge for all ability levels.
The event begins and ends on the school campus. The routes take cyclists through the winding backroads of Habersham and Rabun counties along the Tallulah and Soque Rivers.
All riders are treated to a post-ride meal and a T-shirt is guaranteed with registrations received through Oct. 15. Register online at bikereg.com. Route details are posted on ridewithgps.com.
Ride day is a team effort as the entire TFS community collaborates to stage this dynamic event. Dozens of volunteers, including students, faculty, staff, board members, and fundraising committee members, assist with support and logistics.
Because of the steadfast support of presenting sponsor Ron Cantrell Construction, Inc., other generous sponsors, and an ever-increasing number of riders, this key fundraiser has generated more than $500,000, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships. As more than 70 percent of TFS students receive some portion of financial aid, it is clear this special event makes a difference.
