Rabun Gap football taking ‘belief’ into opening game versus Venice

Ahead of Rabun Gap-Nachoochee School’s opening home football game on Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. versus No. 77 nationally ranked Venice (Fla.), the No. 115 nationally ranked Eagles are leaning into what they believe.But the Eagles do not “believe” they can win, they know they can.

INMAN, S.C. – The No. 115 nationally-ranked Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team tied its preseason scrimmage on Aug. 14 versus Westside (S.C.), 13-13, storming back from a two-possession deficit.

Eagles volleyball hungry for more postseason success

In 2025, Rabun Gap’s volleyball program took a leap forward in the fourth year of head coach Zoe Kennedy’s tenure. In October, the Eagles won their first playoff game under Kennedy and first since 2020.

New era of quarterback play on horizon in Rabun County

The quarterback position is often regarded as the most important and most difficult position in all of sports. On the field, quarterbacks touch the football every play, having to make decisions in split seconds and perform at their best physically and mentally under intense pressure.

RCHS, RGNS schedule football scrimmages

Both Rabun County High School and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s football teams will compete in preseason scrimmages on Friday, Aug. 14, as the new season nears. The Wildcats and Eagles will both be on the road on Friday in the mentioned scrimmages.
