SEALED PROPOSALS FOR STREET RESURFACING 2020-07 will be received by the CITY OF SKY VALLEY, GEORGIA, until 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2020, in City Hall, 3444 Highway 246, Sky Valley, Georgia, at which time the proposals shall be publicly opened and read. No bid submitted may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days.
THE WORK TO BE DONE consists of resurfacing approximately 2.40 miles of four city streets that includes utility patch removal, milling, and striping. *NOTE: This is a Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) assisted project and all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations apply.
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS are on file in the City Manager's Office, 3444 Highway 246, Sky Valley, Georgia and may be obtained from the above office or by email citymanager@skyvalleyga.com for complete set of documents. All question shall be submitted by email.
ALL PROPOSALS must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the contract, will be requested to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract amount.

On July 13, 2020 the Rabun County Supervisor of Elections will begin conducting the public Logic and Accuracy test involving the (ICX) BMD and printers' units, polling place Scanner and E Poll Pads and all voting system components to be used in the Absentee precinct (Georgia DRE rule 183-1-12-.08) for the General Primary Runoff Election to be held on August 11, 2020. Also, on July 13, 2020 (Georgia DRE rule 183-1-12-.02; 183-1-12-.08) the Supervisor of Elections will be beginning and conducting the public Logic and Accuracy test involving the (ICX) BMD and printers units, polling place Scanner, ICC Workstation and Central Scanner, E Poll Pads and all voting system components to be used on Election Day, General Primary Runoff Election to be held on August 11, 2020. On these days, preparation and testing will commence at 9:00 a.m. in Suite 105 Rabun County Board of Elections and Registration Office located at 18 Old Raco High Dr. Clayton, Georgia 30525 and shall continue until such preparation and testing is complete. This preparation and testing are open to the public for observation.

A hearing will be held in the Rabun County Courthouse at 6:00 p.m. before the Rabun County Board of Commissioners on the 28th day of July 2020, concerning a proposed variance from "Rabun County Code of Ordinances Chapter 56 Zoning." This hearing is held under the authority granted by Article XII of said Ordinance.
The purpose of said hearing is to receive comments on the variance proposed by Suzanne and Michael Crowe concerning setback requirements. The Crowes request a variance to construct a new residence and primary retaining wall 22 ft from Low Gap Rd, and to construct a secondary retaining wall 13ft from Low Gap Rd. Property is located at Land Lot 102, District 13 also known as Tax Parcel LN04 071. Plat is available to view in the Rabun County Planning and Zoning Office.
At the hearing any interested parties may present data, make a statement or offer a viewpoint or argument either orally or in writing. Lengthy statements shall be submitted in writing for the official record. Oral statements shall be concise to afford all an opportunity to be heard.
