Family Resource Center of Northeast Georgia has partnered with Chick-fil-A in Clayton for a Diaper Drive Monday, Sept. 11 to Saturday, Sept. 23.

During that time, community members can drop off diapers in the container that will be located in the lobby of the restaurant.

“We have an urgent need for diapers,” said Jill Jones, Rabun County’s representative for Family Resource Center of Northeast Georgia, of the diaper campaign. She said the diapers are given to families in need in Rabun County and the Northeast Georgia area.

Jones said the Diaper Drive is part of the First Steps Program.

First Steps is a parenting support and education program provided to families of newborns to age 5. It provides diapers and Pull-Ups to families in the Northeast Georgia area.

“We really need community support to collect as many diapers as we can at this time,” Jones said, encouraging people to donate diapers over the two week period.

Jones said it’s important to partner with organizations, businesses and individuals for the Diaper Drives to help families in need.

“We are honored to help communities in need in Rabun County,” said Jay Couey, owner/operator Chick-fil-A Clayton, about the decision for his business to partner with Family Resource Center of Northeast Georgia.
