CLAYTON– July’s First Friday Fest at The Rock House in Clayton July 7 brought much community support as the band “Playing it Forward” performed for the fundraising event, where all donations went to Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop 6.
BSA Troop 6 also had a bake sale during the concert. Lisa Causin is the leader for Troop 6 and said $1,988 was raised between the bake sale and tips.
Musicians for “Playing it Forward, ” which plays 100 percent for charity, include Karen Bacon, David Bacon, Greg Presmanes and Bill Lisenby.
First Friday Fest concerts are held at The Rock House on Main Street in Clayton from 6-8 p.m. and are sponsored by the Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA).

Aug. 4: Scott Low to benefit the nonprofit Fight Abuse In The Home (FAITH); and Sept. 1: Mat Fried to benefit the nonprofit Place of Hope.
