Summer is coming to a close for local students as Rabun County Schools System will have its first day of classes at the beginning of August.
Kindergarten through 12th grade will have their first day of 2023-2024 on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Pre-K’s first day will be Friday, Aug. 11.
Supply lists for all the schools have been uploaded to the school system’s website www.rabuncountyschools.org.
Families new to Rabun County Schools should register on the system website.
Rabun County Primary School will host “Meet Your Teacher” on Friday, Aug. 4, as teachers will contact families to set up individual appointments.
Rabun County Elementary School will host its “Meet Your Teacher” between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4. Students and families will meet their teachers and update all registration information.
The “Sixth Grade Parent Meeting” will be at 6 p.m. on Aug. 4 at RCES.
Rabun County Middle School will have its “Meet Your Teacher & Open House” on Aug. 4 between 2-6 p.m. as students and parents will receive the students’ schedules and have an opportunity to visit classrooms.
The “Seventh Grade Parent Meeting” will be for the students and parents in the RCMS gym at 6 p.m.
Rabun County High School will have its “Class Schedule & Parking Pass Pick-up” on Aug. 4. Senior parking passes will be available from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building. Junior parking passes will be available from 3-4:30 p.m. at the FAB. Underclassmen parking passes will be available between 4:30-6 p.m. in the FAB.
Aug. 4 also is “Meet Your Teacher & Class Schedule Pick-up in the cafeteria from 3-6 p.m.
The first day of classes for the Tallulah Falls School is Monday, Aug. 7, and Rabun Gap-Nacoochee will have its first day on Wednesday, Aug. 23.
