Thirty Rabun County fifth and sixth grade 4-H’ers attended 4-H Summer Camp at the Wahsega 4-H Center in Dahlonega, Ga., during June 5-9.
Students got to enjoy the cooler temperatures while climbing a wall, zip lining, and tubing down the Chestatee River.
Campers also attended classes such as stream ecology, herpetology, archery, and forest ecology. They enjoyed s’mores by a campfire, a cookout, and many games and dancing. Campers also go to swim in the Wahsega Pond and slide down the rocks at the cool stream that runs through the camp.
“It was a great week of camp, and we are already looking forward to next year!” said the trip organizer.
