All programs at the library are free and open to the public. The library’s summer reading program is open to all ages. Participants log reading time in minutes using paper or the Beanstack app. Every week, registered participants can win prizes. After 10 hours, kids get fast food coupons. The program ends July 25. Register in person or download the app. Register for summer reading using the Beanstack app, log your reading minutes, earn virtual badges and in-person treats! Prizes will be awarded in a random drawing each week.

Free lunch will be served in the gazebo at the back entrance of the library for ages 2-18, Monday-Friday from 11:30-noon. Meals are provided by Family Connection of Rabun County.

June

Repeated programs

-Technology class at 10:30 a.m. the first Thursday of each month. Stop by with your technology questions.

-Pokemon Club meets the first and third Thursday of each month.

-Bulk donation day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Friday of every month. During that time, Friends of the Library will accept donations in excellent condition for sale in the Bookshop.

-Foxfire Fiber Friends meets from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Bring your current fiber project and spend time with other fiber enthusiasts.

-Talk Time meets 3-4 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Come and practice English.

-Rabun Readers Book Club meets at 10:30 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month to have a book discussion for the month’s book. Copies are available at the circulation desk.

-Chess Club meets from 4-5:45 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

-Crafternoon meets at 5 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Registrations are required.
