On Oct. 10, the Rabun Pickleball Club hosted a hurricane relief benefit function at the Universal Joint in Clayton. Local band Sweet Charity donated their time and talents for a fun evening. The event raised over $2500 to help hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina and Georgia. A great crowd enjoyed the music and made generous donations The proceeds will be donated to the Clayton Rotary Foundation hurricane relief fund to be used in their boots on the ground collaboration with other Rotary clubs in the affected areas. In addition to supporting healthy physical activities, the mission of the Rabun Pickleball Club includes support for local charities.
