Raffle winners from First Responder Dinner announced

The winners have been announced for the raffle benefiting Rabun County first responders.

The  second annual Rabun County First Responder Appreciation Dinner was held on August 30 and showed support to all branches of public safety as well as gave tribute to those first responders killed in the line of duty.

The event was held at the Rabun County Civic Center in dedication and honored memory of Ofc. Courtney Faith Zajdowicz, #537 Rabun County Sheriff’s Office EOW: Sept. 1, 2021.

Zajdowicz is the daughter of Crystal Zajdowicz Cross and David Cross. She passed away on Sept. 1, 2021, after suffering fatal injuries when a DUI driver veered into her lane on the wrong side of the road near George Eller Curve.

The raffle continued through Sept. 30.

The winner of the Rugged Road 85 Ice Chest is Jessica Amaya; the winner of the Glock G4 3X 9mm Luger is Gary Cantwell; and the winner of the Ruger Model 8500 is Conan Guffie.
