Rabun County Chamber of Commerce President Rick Story was sworn in as the newest member of the Rabun County Board of Education on Tuesday, May 7, by Rabun County Probate Court Judge Hobie Jones. Story, who was appointed to the position by the BOE, will fulfill the unexpired term of Molly Lima. Lima and her family are moving out of state. Story told The Clayton Tribune that he plans to run for a full term in the position when the a Special Election is held in November. Joining Story during his swearing in ceremony in the Rabun County Courthouse was his father Alton Story. Beyond his own personal successes, Rick Story is related to many who have achieved a lot locally and nationwide. “There is no better person suited for this position,” said Jones, who himself also is one of Story’s cousins.
