Rabun Gap Eagles
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School’s Friday home football game with A.C. Reynolds of Asheville, N.C., has been cancelled due to a COVID-19 outbreak on the Reynolds team, according to a statement on the RGNS athletics Twitter page. The scheduled 7:30 p.m. contest was to be the first home night football game in Rabun Gap history.
“We know our Eagle fans are deeply disappointed but hope everyone will join us at our next home varsity football game on Friday, September 24 to celebrate under the lights,” the statement says.
Rabun Gap (2-1) has a scheduled Sept. 17 game at Christ School in Arden, N.C., and returns home Sept. 24 to play Charlotte Country Day.
