A crash involving a Dodge Charger and two motorcycles on Ga. 15 (Highway 441) at the Clayton Walmart intersection May 22 blocked the roadway for about two hours. Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to Ga. 15 at the Clayton Walmart intersection around 9:30 a.m.

Rabun County voters showed up to the polls Tuesday for the May 21 General Primary and Nonpartisan Election as 4,662 (39.51 percent) of Rabun County’s 11,800 registered voters made their voices heard at the ballot box.

Incumbents vying for their Rabun County Commission seats were not disappointed Tuesday as voters cast their ballots in the May 21 General Primary and Nonpartisan election. Will H. Nichols and Tom Garrison made it through the Primary and will face opposition on Nov. 5.

A two-vehicle collision on Highway 76 West near Hawthorn Lane on Thursday, May 16 resulted in serious injuries. Johnathan Daniel Morgan, 24 of Lakemont, was traveling west on Highway 76 (State Route 2) in a red 2001 Dodge Neon and Benjamin T. Burrell, 32 of Georgetown, Tenn.
