Martinelli indicted on charges related to high-speed pursuit

A grand jury handed down six indictments in Superior Court of Rabun County on Jan. 4. Isadora Moura Martinelli was indicted on offenses fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer-two counts; hit and run; reckless driving; and obstruction of an officer, according to the True Bill indictment.

Rabun County Bank donates to Sid Weber

The employees of the Clayton branch of Rabun County Bank presented a check for $2,000 to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund on Friday, Jan. 12. The employees raised the money by paying $3 on Fridays to wear jeans to work.

Crash involving dump truck results in serious injuries

A crash at the intersection of Highway 441 (Ga. 15) and East Boggs Mountain Road Tuesday resulted in three people sustaining suspected serious injuries and the road being closed for hours as first responders worked the scene. The crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Jan.
