TALLULAH FALLS– What was supposed to be the third public hearing and a Tallulah Falls council vote on the FY 2022 millage rate increase Sept. 8 turned out to be canceled due to a lack of quorum. Council member Scott Augustine was the only council member present at the meeting Sept. 8.

DILLARD– The city of Dillard honored Council Member Carron Grist by presenting her with a proclamation at Tuesday’s city council meeting. Grist announced that she was retiring after 14 years of service to the city of Dillard.

CLAYTON– NASA Astronaut Winston Scott spoke to the Rotary Club of Clayton about his missions to space at the Rotary meeting Aug. 18. Scott was selected by NASA in March 1992 and reported to the Johnson Space Center in August 1992.
