A year later, SDS is still stalled

CLAYTON—More than a year after all parties agreed on a mediator to lead proceedings in the costly Service Delivery Strategy (SDS) dispute between the county, the city of Clayton and other municipalities, the matter is no closer to being resolved. In fact, mediation hasn’t even started.

MOUNTAIN CITY—Rabun County history came alive on a muggy July evening last Saturday night. An overflow crowd sweated, stomped and danced with enthusiasm not seen since the original Mountain City Saturday night dances stopped decades ago.

CLAYTON— The Rabun County Civic Center was busting with activity and filled with beautiful artwork and booths for the annual Painted Fern Festival of Art hosted by the North Georgia Arts Guild on July 13 and 14.

Rabun County Family Connections and Community Partnership of Rabun are continuing their annual community service through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Summer Food Service Program by serving free meals to kids and teens in Rabun County ages 18 and up.
