Burn ban in Rabun now lifted

The Emergency Outdoor Burn Ban implemented in Rabun County has been lifted, according to local officials. The ban was effective at 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, and ended Wednesday, Nov. 22, at noon.

Members of the Tallulah Falls School National Honors Society helped deck the halls with residents at Traces of Tiger on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The facility hung posters announcing that students were coming to help them decorate wreaths for their doors.

Harvest Moon Antiques, Garden & Art, located at 28 Joy Bridge Rd., Lakemont, pulled out all the stops on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce “Business Center Stage and Open House Event.

Successful turnout for Holiday Market, Festival of Trees

The annual Holiday Market and Festival of Trees had a successful turnout as the Rabun County Civic Center was filled with people working on their holiday shopping the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.    It was also an opportunity to give back to the community.
