Eagles sweep Cats at three-team match

TIGER — Ashley Crosby had 14 kills and four aces to power the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee volleyball team past Rabun County 2-0 (25-9, 25-9) in a three-team match at Rabun County’s Ken Byrd Court on Tuesday night.

Rabun County hosting Jim Kelly Tennis Tournament

Rabun County High School hosts the 22nd annual Jim Kelly Tennis Tournament, a singles, doubles and mixed doubles tournament, Oct. 26-27. The tournament in a fundraiser for the Rabun County tennis teams. Winners in each category will have their names added to a perpetual trophy.

Rabun ready for North Murray’s passing attack

TIGER — North Murray gave the Rabun County football team some trouble with pass coverage in last year’s meeting. The Wildcats are ready to defend the pass, while respecting the run game when they host the Mountaineers for their home opener at 7:30 p.m. at Frank Snyder Memorial Stadium on Friday.

Stockton’s big night propels Cats past Devils in opener

STATESBORO — Gunner Stockton did a little bit of everything for Rabun County’s offense in the team’s season opener. It resulted in a victorious water cooler bath for first-year head coach Jaybo Shaw.

Rabun aims to even series vs. Bremen in Erk Russell Classic

TIGER — When the Rabun County football team traveled to Statesboro to open its regular season at the annual Erk Russell Classic last year, it had a lot to endure. Bremen’s defense kept the game gridlocked at 10 and thunderstorms delayed the contest on two separate occasions.

Stockton has 5 TDs, Wildcats roll past Panthers in preseason game

TIGER — The Rabun County football team rang its victory bell for the first time this season. Gunner Stockton threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as the Wildcats scored on all five offensive possessions and rolled past Franklin (N.C.

PREP ROUNDUP: Tallulah Falls hosts Rabun County for cross country meet

CROSS COUNTRY The Tallulah Falls cross country team hosted Rabun County and Peachtree Ridge for a three-man, 6-mile relay last Thursday. TFS’ Chris Geiger (5:15, 6;13), Grey Bourlet (5:33, 5:27) and Evan Prince (5:10, 5:35) won the boys’ relay with a total time of 32:44.

Rabun rallies past Stephens after loss vs. Lumpkin

TIGER — Destiny Deetz and Gracie Deetz were on the attack in the Rabun County volleyball team’s final match Tuesday night. The duo helped lift the Wildcats past Stephens County 2-1 (20-25, 25-21, 15-12), following an opening match 2-0 (18-25, 25-21) loss against Lumpkin County at Ken Byrd Court.
