The Rabun County and Tallulah Falls School cross country teams competed in the annual Mountain Invitational meet in Helen last Thursday.

Wade Cheek/The Clayton Tribune. The 10-and-under boys recreational cross country team were named league champions after earning a perfect score in last Saturday’s district meet in Morgan County. The entire Wildcat team will look ahead to the GRPA State Championship this weekend at Lamar Murphy Park in Jefferson.

The Rabun County recreational cross country team competed in last Saturday’s league meet in Morgan County where the Wildcats competed against 17 other teams … and once again saw new personal-bests for each runner.

The Rabun County High School softball team lost its second matchup against Elbert County 13-5 on Tuesday night in Tiger. Through the first five innings, the Lady Devils held on tight to just a 4-3 lead. However ECHS rallied for nine runs on five hits across the final two innings.

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School football team defeated the Charlotte Christian Knights 28-13 in their seventh-straight victory this season. As it has been for the past three weeks, the Eagles have set a new record for most wins without a loss in a season.

The No. 4 Rabun County Wildcat football team defeated the Fellowship Christian School Paladins 42-28 in last Friday’s home game in Tiger. Prior to their loss, the Paladins were the sixth-best team in Georgia Class 2A.

The Lady Indians, playing for the first time in over two weeks, notched wins at home over Elbert County and Barrow Arts & Sciences Academy on senior night. The straight-set wins carried the win streak to nine for No. 4-ranked Tallulah Falls, who still is unbeaten in area play.
