Lady Cats get revenge over Commerce after a Watts grand slam, Keller complete game

The Lady Cat softball team defeated its region rival Commerce 7-1 at home on Tuesday night to avenge an earlier season loss to the Lady Tigers.  In the previous meeting between RCHS and the Tigers on Aug. 31, Commerce scored 14 runs on its way to besting the Lady Cats 14-2.

Eagles elevate over Asheville School for 11th-straight win

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School boys soccer team defeated Asheville School 6-1 in Tuesday’s region match.

Kennedy, Rabun Gap volleyball hit stride in second year together

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School volleyball team has a different look and feel to it in the 2023 season.  Like many teams’ experience with a second-year head coach, the victories have come a little bit easier and there are some new faces on the roster for RGNS.

Giles brothers lead Wildcats over WolfPack, 38-7

The Rabun County football team won its non-region matchup against the Whitefield Academy WolfPack 38-7 last Friday evening to move up in the state rankings to No. 4 with ranked Fellowship Christian scheduled to be in Tiger on Sept. 29.

Wildcat rec X-country runners preview state championship course; five runners medal

The Rabun County recreational cross country team competed last Saturday at Lincoln Murphy Park in Jefferson, Ga. Five Wildcats placed within the top 10 of their respective races, with Kai Hannifan-Wagner earning first place for the 10-and-under boys team.

TFS students swimming to success with new youth water polo club

On Aug. 30, the Tallulah Falls School began its six-week Youth Water Polo Afterschool Club. Since then, 18 students from TFS’s lower and middle schools have been learning how to play water polo in an effort to become better swimmers while competing, having fun and making friends.

RGNS to induct newest members into Athletic Hall of Fame

The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School will induct two new members into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 14.   The ceremony is part of the School’s annual Fall Homecoming festivities.  This year, the school is honoring two former players who became coaches for RGNS.

Lady Cats make Blue Devils sweat in seventh-inning comeback; use momentum against future opponents

The Rabun County softball team lost 7-5 in its region matchup against Elbert County last Tuesday.  The Lady Wildcats were shut out through the majority of the contest as they trailed 7-0 through six innings.

RGNS Eagles soar to ground visiting Colorado Eagles

In a battle between two schools known as the Eagles and both located in the mountains, it would be host Rabun Gap who elevated to a 52-31 victory over Valor Christian of Highlands Ranch, Colo., on Sept. 15 as the home team’s student section showed plenty of football energy on “Jersey Night.
