The Salvation Army Red Kettles Provide Love Beyond Christmas

TOCCOA – The familiar Red Kettle Campaign of The Salvation Army will soon be in full swing here in Toccoa, Clayton, Cornelia, Clarkesville and Northeast Georgia. The Christmas season represents the organization’s busiest and most important fundraising time of the year.

A Clarkesville, Ga., man received possible minor injuries after his vehicle overturned in a single vehicle crash on Georgia 15 at Razorback Lane in Lakemont around 11:19 a.m. Nov. 11.

Area Georgia State Park and Historic Site managers receive accolades

Several Georgia State Park and Historic Site employees were honored recently during their annual Managers Conference held in north Georgia. Site managers attended an awards ceremony celebrating those who make more than 60 State Parks and Historic Sites outstanding destinations across Georgia.
