Megan Horn/The Clayton Tribune. The Mountain City Post Office was torn down recently as the widening of Highway 441 gets closer to reality. The business suddenly closed in February 2023 due to a non-renewal of the lease at the property where the building is housed.

Local firefighter Chuck Bray, pictured far right, hiked 192 miles to raise awareness for the mental health of first responders during the Coast to Coast Walk in Northern England.
