Suspended Sheriff Nichols indicted

The Rabun County Grand Jury indicted Rabun County Sheriff Chad Nichols on one count of Violation of Oath of Office, O.C.G.A. 16-10-1, a felony grade crime, on Wednesday morning, according to a press release from George R. Christian, district attorney for the Mountain Judicial Circuit.

Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by vehicle in Rabun Gap

A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle on Ga. 15 at its intersection with Market Circle in Rabun Gap on Aug. 6. The crash occurred around 4:05 p.m.

Community Bible Study transforms lives

CLAYTON, GA -- For Michelle Waldrip, joining the Community Bible Study (CBS) in Rabun County was a life-changing experience. After moving to the area, she felt adrift until someone invited her to the study.

Grist appointed as new Tiger council member

The Tiger Town Council appointed John Grist as the newest council member during the monthly meeting Tuesday, Aug. 13. Grist will serve the remainder of the term previously held by the late Jackie Watts, which expires in 2028. Watts passed away on July 4 after serving on the council since 2020.
