Mary Sue Speed Page, age 89 of Clayton passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022. Mary was born to the late Lewis Shirley Speed and the late Annie Mae Moore on Oct. 11, 1933, in Clayton. The oldest of 13 children, she lived locally for 65 years.

Richard Arthur Speed Jr., age 74, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton. He was born on March 5, 1948, in Rabun County to the late Richard Arthur Speed Sr. and Dorothy Seay Speed.

Nathan Lee Webb, 19, of Walhalla, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022. A native of Oconee County, Nathan was the son of Robert Webb and Leah Cannon. He worked at Yoders in the lumber yard and was a member of Holly Spring Baptist Church.

John Henry Stancil, Jr. “Johnny” of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating. Burial followed at Rabun Memory Park.

Michael Roland DeRoche, age 75, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022. Born on March 8, 1947, in Sanford, Maine, to the late Roland DeRoche and he is survived by his loving mother and best friend Shirley DeRoche.
