Curtis Eugene Henslee, 76, of Clarkesville, Ga., passed away on Aug. 22, 2022, at his residence. Born on July 12, 1946, he is the son of the late Roy and Jean Henslee. Curtis is survived by his wife Ellie Henslee. He was a family man and loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Vera Josephine Norton

Vera Josephine Norton, age 93 of Otto, N.C., passed away on Aug. 28, 2022. Jo was born the daughter of the late Walter Norton and the late Nellie Battle Norton in 1928. In her professional life she worked as a bookkeeper for Acme Sales. Jo was a Christian and a member of the Episcopalian faith.

Douglas Bryan Tuttle

Douglas Bryan Tuttle, 49, of Clayton, passed away Aug. 15, 2022. Douglas was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, and was the son of Patricia Dickey and stepfather Steve Dickey. Douglas was a master craftsman who built custom homes and made custom furniture, doors and custom moldings.

Linda Dunn Tanksley, 65, of Clayton went to her heavenly home Friday, Aug. 12, 2022. Linda was born in Upland, Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of the late Aubrey G. Dunn and the late Hilda York Davis.

Duane Edward Brown, affectionately known as “Brownie,” passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 12, 2022. He was a caring father, grandfather and friend. Duane loved life, spending time with his family, racing and football. He served his country in the U.S.

Darlene Kay Glennon Carver

Darlene Kay Glennon Carver, age 79 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 13, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born Sept. 16, 1942, the daughter of the late John Glennon and Imogene Wade Glennon, and was also preceded in death by sister Janice White.
