Clifton Gerald Kemper, Jr, aged 86, passed away on June 22, 2022. He was the son of the late Dr. Clifton Gerald Kemper and Mrs. Rosa Birt Stone Kemper. He was preceded in death by one sister, Claire Kemper Brock of Atlanta.

Betty Norton Cabe

Betty Norton Cabe, age 91, of Rabun Gap, passed away on June 26, 2022. Betty was born the daughter of the late Clark Coyl Norton and the late Reba Ledford Norton on Dec. 26, 1930. She was married to the late Arvil Cabe.

Mrs. Jan Queen Heath, 72, of Ellaville, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2022, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Ellaville with Rev. David Chapman officiating.

Wilma Ruth Holt Billingsley

Wilma Ruth Holt Billingsley, 78, of Scaly Mountain, N.C., passed away on June 24, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Claude Wesley Holt and Mary Ethel Cantrell Holt. She was preceded by her husband of 54 years Homer Lee Billingsley.

Tina Wall Duncan

Tina Wall Duncan, age 59, of Clayton, passed away on June 19, 2022. Born on March 19, 1963, she is the daughter of the late William David (W.D.) Wall and Wylene Ramey Wall. She was a caregiver as well as a masonry worker for Willie Fortson. She is survived by two sons, Alton Owens Jr.

Albert Keith Law

Albert Keith Law of Clayton, Ga., passed away on June 15, 2022, age eighty-six. Albert was born on July 1, 1935, in Mountain City, Ga., the son of the late Clyde T. and Lassie Taylor Law. He was a member of the 1949 inaugural Rabun County High School football team.

John L. Gray

John L. Gray, age 88 of Tallulah Falls, went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2022. Born in Shreveport, La., on Aug. 16, 1933, he was a son of the late Rev. Luzell M. & Gladys Hale Gray. John served his country proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Sandra Jean Lawson

Sandra Jean Lawson, 80, of Wolffork Road in Rabun Gap, passed away on June 16, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Plainview, Neb., on May 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Osborne J. Bartling and Eva Dale Armstrong.

Jordan “Ashley” Mavity

Jordan “Ashley” Mavity passed quietly in her sleep during the early morning of June 20, 2022. Ashley, as she was known to all of her friends and family, leaves a legacy of love, peace, and gratitude.

Saralee “Lee” Benedict Johnson

Saralee “Lee” Benedict Johnson, age 75, of Dillard, journeyed to be with the Lord, on June 16, 2022. She was born the daughter to the late Robert Benedict and the late Louise Ellen Kellog Benedict on Jan. 2, 1947. In her professional life, she worked for herself as an artist and jeweler.
