Robert Dennis “Bob” Brost, 90, of Rabun Gap, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. A funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at St. Helena Catholic Church. Hunter Funeral Home handled services for the Brost family.

Mr. Larry Gaines Bennett Sr., age 80, of Clayton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022. Mr. Bennett was born in Fulton County on April 1, 1942, to the late Gaines L. and Berline Gravitt Bennett.

Joy Lynn Mabery, 52, of Tiger, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022. Born on Nov. 13, 1969, she was the daughter of the late James Lynn Mabery III and Alberta Mae (Christian) Mabery. Joy was the former co-owner/operator of BJ’s Books in Dillard and Franklin.

Sara Lou Moore Singleton

Sara Lou Moore Singleton, 89, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022. She was born in Hayesville, N.C., on Nov. 25, 1933, to parents Frank C. Moore and Nannie Lou Chambers Moore.

Michael Thomas Boyle

Michael Thomas Boyle, age 66, of Rabun Gap, passed away on Sept. 23, 2022. He was born the son of the late John Lawrence Boyle and the late Betty Melander Boyle on May 9, 1956.  Michael attended Lakeshore High School, College Park, Georgia in 1976.

Tiffany Alexandria Kopaz

Tiffany Alexandria Kopaz, age 33 of Clayton, Georgia passed away on Sept. 14, 2022. She suffered from Li Fraumeni Syndrome, a gene variant that has taken other members of her family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Clayton Tribune September 29, 2022

Victoria E. Castle, age 72 of Lakemont, Georgia passed away on Sept. 23, 2022. Vicki was born in Glendale, Calif., on June 19, 1950.

Ida Odelle Kelly Hamby

Ida Odelle Kelly Hamby, age 90 of Rabun Gap, gained her heavenly wings on Sept. 14, 2022. Odelle was born the daughter of the late Ray Kelly and the late Sarah Elizabeth “Bessie” Mize Kelly on Nov. 5, 1931. She was a devoted and loving wife to the late Billy Lewis Hamby.

Rickey Morris Darnell

Rickey Morris Darnell, of Lakeland, Fla., age 59, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022. He was born June 5, 1963, in Clayton, Ga. He was the son of the late George Morris and Iva Elaine (Brantley) Darnell.

Diane Elliott

Diane Elliott went home to be with Jesus and her beloved husband Ed on Sept. 8, 2022, at The Traces of Tiger Assisted Living. She was predeceased by her sons, Eric and Billy Engelhard and sister Lucy Margaret Desgrey.
